Cherry, Birch Plywood
A companion piece to a chest I made a couple of years previously, this chest is made primarily with American Cherry wood. This piece is based on the same proportions as the previous chest and both take inspiration from Japanese design. which was fitting with my clients tastes. Again I have taken the time to re-saw the cherry for the drawer-fronts and book matched the grain, which is evident as a subtle detail across the front of the cabinet.
