Oak, cork and reclaimed Rhodesian teak
Stacking stool design, part of my cork oak and wenge body of work.
Design incorporates the ready made unit of the parquet block and the cork bottle stopper. This design was an attempt to utilize the compressive strength of the corks which are the load bearing component under the seat surface. The legs are laminated which give them strength without the need for supporting rails and allow the stools to stack nicely.
